Gabriela Román Colón

 

BA Sociology University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras CampusMS Candidate Health Systems Research and Evaluation University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus Gabriela Román Colón is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health Systems Research and Evaluation at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. She became part of the DIDARP team in 2012 and since then has become interested in partaking research in the drug abuse sector. Her background in sociology has stimulated an interest in exploring the relationship between stigma and use of treatment services, a subject that she is currently examining as a research assistant in DIDARP’s Project 2 on self-stigma. Her interests include enhancing her knowledge on how to integrate public health measures into the addiction treatment sector and continuing her doctorate degree in Health Systems Research and Administration.
